Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TgLinkCheck ("we", "us", the "Service" at tglinkcheck.com) handles information when you use our Telegram link checker on the web or in our browser extension. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed (PBKDF2) version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
• Links you check. When you paste or upload Telegram links, we fetch each link's public Telegram preview to return its status, type, member count and language. We may cache these public results temporarily to speed up repeat checks. We do not log in to Telegram, access your Telegram account, or read any private data.
• Payment information. Subscriptions are sold and processed by our Merchant of Record, Creem. We do not receive or store your card details. Creem shares limited information with us (email, plan, subscription status) so we can activate your Pro access.
• Technical data. Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention, and one essential session cookie to keep you signed in.

2. How we use information

• To provide the checker and return results.
• To create your account, sign you in, and manage your subscription and Pro access.
• To prevent abuse and fraud and keep the Service secure.
• To respond to your support requests.

3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

We process your data to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, improvement), and to comply with legal obligations. Where required, we rely on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Service: Creem (payments, subscriptions and tax as Merchant of Record) and our hosting/infrastructure provider. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies

We use a single essential, httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

6. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Cached public results are short-lived; logs are kept for a limited period. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or object to processing of your data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email support@tglinkcheck.com.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed, traffic is served over HTTPS, and access to data is limited. No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with an updated date.
